Communication

Nothing good happens after 2 am – Mrs. Mosby, How I Met Your Mother

It’s still 1:47, we’re good.

They say after 2 am, you should just go to bed. So I’m not really risking things by blogging right now. Nor am I really risking things by taking to heart what this blog had communicated to me.

After a conversation with a friend a few mins ago (you know who you are!), sticking to my guns and not really listening to him, I realized.. he’s right. Not on the premise that he would think, but on the idea that..

I shouldn’t assume, nor have others assume. Or something.

Anyway, back to the blog – Three things that happen when communication does NOT happen (Matt Chambers):

1) We assume the other person already knows what’s going on and either doesn’t care or is ok with it.

2) We keep it inside and let frustrations simmer until they turn explosive and detrimental.

3) We don’t communicate because we’re embarrassed or don’t want to rock the boat.

Truth, no? I don’t know, but the continued conversation was about risk-taking as well. It’s all a jumbled meshing in my head.

Give that blog a read. He’ll explain things better than I ever can. Then again, different person, different situation.

Bottom-line: communicate things clearly. ROCK THAT BOAT.

(own that pony tail, work that updo lol) < babbling. why? coz it’s now 2:01.
